Gigasheet +

AWS

Receive bulk price transparency data in your own S3 bucket, or pull large files from S3 into Gigasheet for analysis.

Two Ways Gigasheet Works With S3

Most healthcare teams use S3 in one of two directions. Either they want clean rate data delivered into a bucket they already own, or they have large files sitting in S3 that nobody can open. Gigasheet covers both.

Delivery into your bucket. Bulk price transparency data ships as Parquet or CSV directly into your own S3 bucket, scoped to the payers, geographies, and clinical areas you care about. The data arrives cleansed of zombie rates, with providers resolved to NPI and TIN and Medicare reference rates attached, so it loads into your warehouse ready to query rather than ready to clean.

Analysis of files already in S3. Point Gigasheet at a file in your bucket and open it in the browser. Machine-readable files, claims extracts, and provider rosters that break desktop tools load into a spreadsheet interface where you can filter, pivot, and export a slice.

Loading a File From S3

  1. Public URL. If objects in your bucket are shared publicly, copy the object URL. In your Gigasheet Library, go to Import from Cloud, select AWS S3, and paste the link.
  2. Pre-signed URL. For data you would rather keep private, select the file in S3, choose Actions and then Share with a pre-signed URL, set a short expiry, and create it. Paste that URL into the same Import from Cloud dialog. Access expires on your schedule.

Either way the file uploads and parses, then appears in your Library ready to open.

Why Teams Connect S3 to Gigasheet

  • The files are the problem, not the storage. A payer machine-readable file or a national provider extract is trivial to store in S3 and nearly impossible to open. Gigasheet handles files far past what desktop tools will load.
  • No pipeline to build. Analysts get at the data without an ETL project, and without waiting on a data engineering queue.
  • Your infrastructure, your governance. Bulk datasets land in a bucket you already control, under access rules you already run.
  • Secure transfer. Pre-signed URLs keep private data private, and Gigasheet encrypts data in transit and at rest under SOC 2 Type 2 controls.

For warehouse delivery rather than file storage, Gigasheet also shares data directly into Snowflake, Databricks, and Redshift. To query rates from your own systems without moving data at all, see the Price Transparency API.
